Change is in the Air!

As usual this summer has flown by.  But instead of the same ‘ol, same ‘ol of hot days, cool drinks, and summer vacations, there has been a different feel in the air.  And while summer is usually as predictable as is the hot weather, this summer has been different.  Change is in the air!  Since leading into the Summer Solstice on June 21, we have all been experiencing a vast amount of change on many different levels.  Gas prices have caused us to rethink everything from summer vacation to running errands to where we live.  Meanwhile, our country is primed to elect its first African-American president… a feat that would have seemed unfathomable a few years ago.  But beneath the global and national levels of change lies our own personal shifts.  This may have come in the form of a change in job, relationship, or health.  Or perhaps it has been a shift in consciousness, belief system, or an aspect of your ego.

For there to be change, there has to be a letting go.  Sometimes we consciously choose to let go and other times it seems to be forced upon us and seemingly out of our control.  For example, we can choose to quit our job, or it may naturally fall off by the position being eliminated.  What is actually happening on an energetic level is that you are no longer a vibrational match for that job.  This is the case with relationships as well.  Once there is a vibrational ‘mis’-match, then it will fall away, sometimes suddenly and mysteriously, and other times over a process of many years.  The phrase, “out with the old, in with the new” is the perfect description of the process of change.  It is the in-between gap of time, whether it be 5 minutes, 5 months, or 5 years, that is the uncomfortable part.  During this wait period, it is not uncommon to experience a number of physical, emotional, or mental imbalances, from lack of trust to mental anxiety to low back pain.

Uncertainty can trigger old mental patterns and agitation, thereby causing an imbalance of our chakras.  Another common phrase, “This too shall pass” is also appropriate in these times of change.  However, that is often easier said than done!  If you need some energetic assistance during this time to adjust your sail to the new winds, then contact me for an energy healing session.  Oftentimes, a chakra tune-up can do wonders.  Knowing that all happens in Divine Order is comforting, but feeling it is even better!
