Feng Shui Your Wallet

I have written many articles on ways that you can incorporate Feng Shui into your life from your desk to your office, and of course, your home. I was recently noticing that my Turkish embroidered coin purse turn wallet was coming apart at the seams. It was time to get a new wallet. What I realized however was that, while my current wallet has a nice energy, it doesn’t allow for much money to flow through it. Afterall, it is supposed to be just a coin purse. On top of that, it was in dire need of a good clearing. It was time to feng shui my wallet!
The first step in Feng Shui is to clear the area. When you clear an area, you clear out the old, stagnant energy making room for something new. This is also the case with your wallet. Similar to clearing out your closet or drawers, clearing out your wallet periodically will allow new energy, i.e. money, to come in. Clear out old business cards, IDs, notes, pictures, etc. This is old energy that is just taking up space. Speaking of, anything representing debt, i.e. credit cards with a large balance, should not be in your wallet…not only for practical, budgetary purposes, but for energetic reasons. It will only attract more spending and debt.
The second step of Feng Shui is to rearrange the furniture, if necessary. In the case of your wallet, do you need a new wallet? Is it big enough? Is it too big? Does it have enough compartments? Does it have too many compartments? Or is it just right! If your current wallet no longer fits your needs, then donate it to Goodwill and buy a new one that does. In my case, I needed a wallet with a specified compartment for bills (preferably $20 and $100 bills). My current wallet simply was not inviting for money to come in.
The third step is to add Feng Shui elements. While you don’t have to divide your wallet into the 8 areas of the Bagua Map, it is important to have designated areas in your wallet. For example, use the built-in compartments for organizing your business cards, family pictures, credit cards, bills, coins, etc. Most importantly, ensure that what you are carrying around is not only a representation of you, but what you want to attract more of into your life.

i’m just curious. my mom and sis keep on giving me their used wallets. is it ok to use them?
Good question. If they have any financial problems or bad money habits, I would be hesitant to use their wallets. Also if you have any financial ties with them that you do not want, then I would not use their left over wallets. Although I am a proponent of reusing items, this may be a case in which it would be best to purchase a wallet that you really love. If not, then use sage to clear their energy from the wallet before you use it.
tnx for that! one question though, how do i place my money? i heard that the picture of the person on money bills should be facing front or facing the wallet opening
