My Story:

When I was 12 years old, I wanted to be a stockbroker, a meteorologist, or a writer. So I did what made sense. I went to law school. I made law review, got married, and acquired my 27th floor corner office. Life was everything I had ever dreamed. Except for one thing. I was miserable.

For the next eight years, I went on a personal journey of self-discovery to find out who I really was and what I really wanted. Along this journey, I got a Fine Arts degree in Interior Design (which, by the way, was much harder than law school!), trained and taught yoga, renovated two homes (which taught me more about myself than all these combined), found my life partner, and received certifications in life coaching, spiritual counseling, energy healing, and Feng Shui. People ask me how I went from being an attorney to a healer as they are in direct contrast to one another – head vs. heart; left-brain vs. right-brain, mean vs. nice (that’s a joke!), etc.

Yoga was my bridge. I’ll never forget going to my first yoga class. I walked out feeling as if I had just visited the therapist, chiropractor, and church. It was the ultimate mind-body-spirit experience! As my body became more flexible, my mind followed. I now embody my intuitive, watery Cancer sign while keeping my feet in the ground and my heart wide open. And the yoga mat is still where I find my center.

As a stiff and rigid kid who was more into stock investments than cartoons, I never would have imagined that I would end up in the healing arts. Except for one thing. At my core was the desire to help people – to help people have a brighter day and a better life. And the more I helped myself, the more I was able to help others. What started out as just being extra nice to store clerks turned into teaching yoga which turned into helping people make profound changes on my healing table and in their homes.

I love working and connecting with people, individually, as well as groups, to help make our lives and our world more beautiful.

So what about my dream of being a stockbrocker, meteorologist, or a writer, you ask? I love taking risks. I’m fascinated by all things bigger than ourselves. And my first book was published in May 2010.

Namaste. Tisha
